Our memorial tags allow us to remember loved ones and much-loved dogs that have touched our lives. We have created a memorial statue at each of our rehoming centres to honour the ones we have lost, and to commemorate the unique bond we shared. And with personalised tags to adorn them, each statue tells a story of love to all who pass by, or come to reflect.

A memorial tag costs £150 which includes a personalised tag on the sculpture at the location of your choice for a minimum of five years. And you will also receive a replica tag to cherish forever at home.

This generous contribution:

  • would cover the cost of everything a dog needs for three days in our care - from treats and toys to training and veterinary expenses
  • would help ensure all dogs at our centres and in foster care, receive regular vet check-ups and have access to ongoing medication, to help them recover from minor ailments through to traumatic injuries
  • would go towards our foster scheme, so that older dogs who find themselves in our care due to their owner’s passing, can be comfortable in a home environment whilst we search for a loving, forever home
  • would help keep our animal ambulances on the road, ensuring that stray dogs are given a second chance. Our animal ambulances travel the length and breadth of the country bringing stray dogs to safety.

How long will my tag be in position?

A minimum of 5 years.

Is there a character limit on the tag?

Yes, there is. The total character count for a tag without a paw print icon is 198, and for a tag with a paw print icon is 144. 

Can I choose the style of my tag?

All our tags come engraved with 'in loving memory of' along with your personalised words and our Dogs Trust logo. If you would like to celebrate the memory of a dog, our tags come with an engraved paw print on them. If you want to order a tag in memory of a person, the tag will feature the person's name and your lovely message. 

Can I visit my chosen rehoming centre to see my memorial tag?

Yes, all sculptures are positioned in public areas of our rehoming centres so you can visit without an appointment during our opening hours. Visit our rehoming centres.
